We are excited launch the first round of our Training Funding Call, supporting training in digital health skills in the North East and North Cumbria (NENC). We have £140,000 to allocate to applicants who present a training offer responding to a need they have identified in the NENC region among the following audiences - the health and social care workforce, or SMEs and start-ups working in the health tech space.
The call is open to all applicants, including Higher Education Institutions, NHS bodies, VCSE organisations, local government and SMEs and start-ups.
Eligible training includes but is not limited to workshops, in person and online courses, or the production of learning materials.
Two contract values are available through this funding call:
- Smaller funding pots up to £15,000, inclusive of VAT
- Larger funding pots from £15,000 to £40,000, inclusive of VAT.

Submit a completed application form and relevant costing template via email to emma.letham@newcastle.ac.uk. The submission deadline is on April 14.
Costing Template A to be completed by applicants standardly eligible for EPSRC funding. The full list of eligible organisations is available here.
Costing Template B to be completed by all other UK applicants.

Who can apply?
The Call is open to any UK organisation that has identified a specific need for digital health training in the North East and North Cumbria region. We encourage applications from the higher education sector, the NHS, the voluntary sector, social care and social work sector, as well as companies working in the health tech space.
