Q. What will happen at the workshop?
During the morning we will introduce the group to the theme, unpick the challenge areas, and get to know each other. We will also talk through the agenda for the day and highlight the key outcomes for the day.
Throughout the sessions, the group will discuss ideas and start to identify ideas to explore further in the afternoon in smaller groups.
By the end of the day, the project teams will be formed an initial research proposals will be agreed.
Q. What will happen after the workshop?
After the workshop, the teams will have time to develop their ideas into a proposal that will be submitted to the NortHFutures team.
We know that developing bids and running research projects can be complicated, so each project team will be assigned a NortHFutures mentor to guide them through the pre and post award stages and offer advice in:
- Costing your proposal
- Ethical approval
- Research impact
- Bid and report writing
- Research evaluation
Q. Do I need to attend the full workshop?
Yes, we would prefer that you attend the full workshop to maximise the amount of time that we will have together as a group.
However, we know that life is not always predictable and straighforward - so if you have concerns about the time commitment, please reach out to the NortHFutures team.
